Since several years ago, I have been having a problem running its engine without any choke. It will run if I put it on Full Choke or at more than 60% choke. John Deere 522 Worm gear. I picked up a cheap John Deere 522 snow thrower. I replaced the carb and some axle bushings and it’s running fairly good. The front gear must have gotten damaged at some point and the auger barely spins. It does but not much. I can’t find a replacement anywhere.
